Palatal Tori


Definition: A hyperostosis of the hard palate.

Radiographic Features:

Location: Can be seen on any maxillary periapical radiograph.

Edge: Well-defined.

Shape: Round, Ovoid, Lobular.

Internal: Radiopaque, radiopacity of bone.

Other: None.

Number: Singular but may have a lobular appearance as if it were multiple, but it is a singular entity.
