NBDE Part II 10

This is a quick guide to all topics that I typically cover in a review course for the NBDE Part II.  While there are still some topics missing, I will be slowly adding them as I can. 🙂

Radiation Physics

Radiation Biology

Radiographic Technique

Imaging

Normal Radiographic Anatomy

Tips:

  1. Carefully evaluate the radiographs and make sure that they are mounted correctly.  i.e. the images are not backwards – patients left on the observers left and vice versa.
  2. Anatomy is KEY!

If you have any questions or topics you would like more information on, please leave a comment or email me at DrGstoothpix (at) gmail (dot) com.  Thanks.

    Hi Doc
Is this blog to help students prepare for NBDE part two? If I am not a student of your university is there a way I can get materials to help me prepare ? Thanks

This blog is for all topics related to oral radiology. The NBDE page is a quick search of topics/blog posts I recommend students to study for Part 2 of the boards. Please feel free to search around and if there is a topic you are interested in but do not see on here drop me a line and I’ll see what I can do. Thanks. 🙂

Thanks a lot 🙂 really enjoy reading your blogs in oral rad. I have been following it for a year now!

This is dependent on several factors, kVp, mA, and exposure time. I’m not able to give you a specific number. Are you looking for a limit of radiation exposure?

I was looking for a specific range – is it between 1-10mr or 1-5 mr. This one of the questions I camw across as I was preparing for the nbde. Thanks

Unfortunately I’m not able to give you a specific number for this. Sorry. 🙁
