  • maxillary right primary second molar (A) – distal, occlusal & mesial (recurrent)
  • maxillary left primary first molar (I) – distal (recurrent)

      Are you referring to the small area of incipient decay (right at the level of the contact)?

        Is there any bone loss (horizontal or vertical)? Where?

        For bone loss, you want to look at adjacent cemento-enamel junction (CEJ) and draw an imaginary line between the two. You are looking to see if the bone crest is parallel with this line (no vertical bone defects) and within 1-2 mm from the CEJ (no horizontal bone loss).
