Case of the Week: Cleidocranial Dysplasia 1

This week is another case and educational video on cleidocranial dysplasia.  Cleidocranial dysplasia presents intraorally with multiple supernumerary teeth, delayed exfoliation of the primary dentition and hypoplasia of the maxilla.  Other radiographic findings include clavicle hypoplasia and in extreme cases aplasia of the clavicles (these patients can touch their shoulders together in front of their body).

cleidocranial dysplasiaThis pantomograph shows the multiple supernumerary teeth present in cleidocranial dysplasia.

And now onto the educational video made by UNMC College of Dentistry Class of 2016 students.

If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. Thanks and enjoy!
